Canterbury | Christchurch, Mackenzie & Kaikoura

Canterbury has it made: bordered by the breath-taking Southern Alps in the west and the Pacific Ocean in the east. New Zealand’s largest region is full of New Zealand goodness, it’s a true reflection of what NZ is about. A birds-eye view from a scenic flight is highly recommended once in Christchurch, it’s the best way to take in the Southern Alps and the majestic Mount Cook.

Really, whatever you’re looking for, The Garden City and its surrounds has it – from Maori culture, arts and heritage, to amazing wildlife and stunning coastal and mountainous landscapes. Go hiking, hit the slopes in winter, or take it to the skies in a hot air balloon. Get the blood pumping with some jet boating, or take it down a notch with some whale watching or even get in the water and join some dolphins for a swim.

Whatever your flavour, you’ve got to get a taste of Canterbury.
