Canterbury has it made: bordered by the breath-taking Southern Alps in the west and the Pacific Ocean in the east. A birds-eye view from a scenic flight is highly recommended once in Christchurch, it’s the best way to take in the Southern Alps and the majestic Mount Cook.

Go hiking, hit the slopes in winter, or take it to the skies in a hot air balloon. Get the blood pumping with some jet boating, or take it down a notch with some whale watching or even get in the water and join some dolphins for a swim.
