Winding along remote river banks, through steeply carved valleys, into mysterious tunnels, the TranzAlpine’s winter ascent into the Southern Alps is like a journey to a wintry Never Never Land. Depart Christchurch at 08:15 and return back to Christchurch at 18:31. Upon return to Christchurch Railway Station this evening you will make your own way back to your Christchurch hotel.
